Pra'Kahri Light Carrier

A prominent unit during the Colony Wars, the Pra'Kahri was the ship of choice for most up-and-coming captains. Small by most race's standards, the Pra'Kahri Light Carrier is designed for mid-range missions and general patrol duties. One of the first ships to be outfitted with the new hellbore cannons, the Pra'Kahri was a tough opponent for the Colonial opposition's own Var'Cha frigates.

One oddity of the Pra'Kahri is its non-standard hangar assembly. Built originally as a modular system, the hangars are built into the outer edges of the upper hull and offer eight launch/land ports. Each port is just large enough to allow fighters up to the heavy class to launch or land per turn. The teired hangar bay, however, can only accommodate 13 craft at a time, as the other three slots originally planned for the design are taken up by equipment and personnel. Nonetheless, the Pra'Kahri is quite versatile in combat.

By the K'Thonn Rebellion few Pra'Kahri remained in service. Their functionality as both a carrier and assault ship had been overshadowed by the more effective Chu'Kahni Dreadnought and the Ya'Kali Troop Transport. Some were sold to private companies and converted into cargo haulers while others were converted into makeshift mining bases and resupply craft. The few that did survive to see the K'Thonn Rebellion were destroyed during the war's opening moves, and most of those destroyed were in rebel hands at the time. It is just as well, as the craft could not successfully take on any modern Bintari ship.
