The Kylon, a race of green and silver autotrophs, were first contacted in the 2040s by ships from the Bintari Empire. At the time, the Kylon were only in a state of mid-industrialization. The Bintari, feeling it was their duty to uplift the Kylon, slowly aided the Kylon to understand the universe around them, taking them into space and teaching them new construction and manufacturing techniques that would be of great importance in the years ahead.
The ships and the technology behind them were the forces that first propelled the Kylon into the position of a minor military power. They reverse engineered the Particle Burst and fusion reactors onboard these alien starships, learning how to produce them and refine them into more advanced forms.
