Following the design tenants of the Techno Union fleet, the Mannkim-814 Interceptor is durable and easy to construct in large numbers. In combat against its most common enemy the V-Wing, it is capable of taking the Republic fighters first shot and responding in kind, an exchange the ligher V-Wing rarely survived. This ensured that the V-Wings tried to outmaneuver the Mannkim-814, moving the domain of battle back to its favor.
