The workhorse of the Picket Fleet, the CSA utlizes the Marauder throughout their sector for inspection purposes, as escorts for the CSA Victory Destroyers, or as chase vessels paired with Invincible Picket Cruisers. The Marauder has an excellent sensor array for a ship of it's size, and along with two flights of IRDs can project the CSA's authority into any of it's thirty thousand systems at a moment's notice.

Modified from Ben's original design, with better sensors and more thrust, but reduced shielding.
The Rebel Alliance and New Republic also utilized a version of the Marauder as a missile attack corvette, per Star Wars: Empire at War. |
