The Corporate Sector security force, known as the Espos, utilized this light fighter in many roles. Short for Intercept, Reconaissance, and Defense, the IRD had certain limitations but was sufficient for the CSA's Picket Fleet purposes. Pilots appreciated it for it's ejection system which was the best in the galaxy.
