| Description: |
The EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate was a 300 meter-long warship that was built by Kuat Drive Yards for use by the Imperial Navy, to protect convoys from Rebel starfighter actions.
While originally used by both sides in the Galactic Civil War, eventually they became associated with the Rebellion, as the Rebel Alliance also acquired a number of these ships through defection, capturing them in battle, or by outright theft. Due to sucesses by privateers such as the Far Orbit and identification of famous vessels such as the Rebel Medical Frigate, the Nebulon-B fell out of favor with the Empire as the risk of rebel raiders posing as loyal servants of the Empire simply became too great.
