The Spice Smugglers make extensive use of modified merchant vessels, and the ubiquitous cargo lighter is no exception. Modified with a single Medium Lasgun and two Vulcan Railguns, approaching CHOAM inspection ships have learned to be very careful on the Red Crescent run because of this ship.
