| Description: |
A stern reminder of the power of the Bene Gesserit Witches, the Mission Protectiva Transport is a robust ship that utilizes an obsolescent weapon, the triple chaingun. Armed with explosive ammunition, the chaingun can be used in space as a rapid fire weapon and interceptor, and proved its use on planet in an anti-personnel capacity. Combined with missile racks, two heavy blast cannons, and a potent shield generator, these Transports are far more than they appear.
The Mission Protectiva Transport also has a good cargo capacity and the largest hanger capacity outside of a fleet carrier. Intended for extended stays outside the borders of the Million Worlds, it can provide for all of the needs of a Bene Gesserit delegation.
Their one true weakness is in their reliance on Holtzman shields for their defense. While this strategem was sound for their intended role in escorting the Mission Protectiva out among the stars to prepare the universe for the coming of the Kwisatz Haderach, fortunately they were never counted on to protect the Holy Missions from advanced Imperium technology.
