A less expensive interceptor, this Landsraad fighter is on the verge of obslescence. The Sirat is considered inferior to the Richese produced fighters or the House Specialty fighters such as the Waveskimmer or Defiler, but they are in wide spread use, beign easy to both maintain and repair. Sirat Light Fighters are generally used for defensive purposes against more powerful attack fighters, where they employ swarming tactics to attempt to take down opponents. The twin Ultralight Bolt guns are both a strength and a weakness for this Landsraad fighter. The matter damage makes it surprisingly dangerous against heavily armored ships, but the weapons are almost useless against vessels protected by Holtzman shields.
