Description: |
The L'Nakal Patrol Carrier was an experiment in carrier deployment. Historically, the Narns have shied away from dedicated carrier units, instead preferring the doctrinal flexibility of organic fighter support. However, the possibility of fielding additional fighters in fleets typically lacking them was appealing to the Kha'Rhi.
The L'Nakal can base and deploy two flights of fighters. The carrier was designed with the smaller Gorith interceptors in mind, but there is still sufficient room to berth even heavy fighters, though in cramped quarters.
These carriers were effective as fighter deployment platforms, but their lack of offensive firepower meant that they were incapable of dealing with enemy ships. The ships' point defense grids likewise proved inadequate, suitable only for dealing with raider threats.

Design Notes: |
I found this little drawing on my hard drive when I was looking for some other files, so I thought I would take the opportunity to colorize it and put together a ship control sheet. |
