When the need for combat scouts increased, the Sshel'ath had to find alternatives to the existing Alveka Scoutship. It was decided to build the new scout ship on a basic Karaut space frame. The Sulkor shares the same basic design as the Karaut but lacks that ship's special composite hull materials, buffered drive system, and emissions masking systems. In its place the ship mounts an enlarged arsenal and a larger ELINT-capable sensor array.
