Known as an "advanced cruiser" during its initial years in service, the Hishoch is comparable to other race's light cruisers. This ship, introduced only three years before the T'shann invasion, was equipped with a mix of all weapons available to the Bintari at the time. A balanced and formidable hull, the Hishoch was unfortunately not ready for its trial by fire.

The Hishoch found itself outgunned by even the most outmoded of T'shann vessels, and the relative lack of maneuverability displayed by the Hishoch only sunk it further into a morass of inadequacy. After the war the ship was retooled, giving rise to the Hishoch-B variant.
