This transport variant of the Miranda appeared shortly after the first Miranda Light Cruiser rolled off the assembly lines. The need existed for a state-of-the-art priority transport, and the new Miranda Light Cruiser fit the specifications.

Like other Miranda variants, the Miranda Transport continues to serve into the modern era. However, fewer and fewer Miranda Transports are available and no more are being converted.
