(incomplete)The Novon are a race of olive-skinned, hairless humanoids native to the Novonous system. The Novon are a fiercly feudal race dominated by the Trade Lords. The Novon Trade Lords are little more than warlords who have risen to power, amassing wealth through trade and devastating their opponents through war. Of the trade lords the strongest controls the homeworld of Novonous itself, the world acting as one of the few neutral meeting places within the Novon borders (ed: cultural thing).
The Novon Trade Lords are constantly in a state of war and allegiances are constantly shifting among the lesser trade lords. This makes relations with the Novon often tenuous and prone to sudden change.
Each trade lord operates his/her own forces, both space and ground. The youth of the Novon's subjects are conscripted into military service. The ships of the Novon are very high tech, a side effect of their constant warfare.
