The Atreides medium fighter, it was designed as a space superiority platform. The strength of the design is the concentric band Holtzman shield, giving a uniform area of protection greater than any other main line fighter in the Million Worlds. A very flexible design, it was made to exploit the weaknesses of its opposition. It was named after one of the predatory seabirds of the seas of Caladan, a favorite of Duke Paulus in honor of the Duke after his untimely death.
