The Imperial Navy of House Corrino and the House Navy of Harkonnen often utilize a Lasgun variant of the Frigate. Possessing potent offensive firepower for a ship of the Imperium, it sacrifices its intermediate weapons and some of its reaction thrust for a more extensive Lasgun suite. While still reasonably maneuverable for a capital ship, it is more oriented towards being a mobile weapons platform when compared to the standard Frigate.
