The Yolu are one of the oldest of the younger races. As old or older than the Minbari, the Yolu were hesitant to join in hostilities against the Shadows in the last Shadow War. The overzealous Tak'cha retaliated by attacking the Yolu, hoping to force them to get involved in the conflict.
The Yolu are incredibly isolatonist, even more so than the Minbari, and have long elected to remain aloof, rarely involving themselves in the other races. Although affected by the Dilgar War, the Yolu were never truly threatened.
