The Minbari are one of the oldest of the younger races. The Minbari participated in the last great war against the Shadows a thousand years ago. With the help of the Vorlons and many of the other races including the Minbari the Shadows were driven from their homeworld of Z'ha'dum.
The modern Minbari people are in decline. The Federation's policy of strict neutrality has largley isolated from their neighbors.
