Description:

The NX-class was one of the first Terran exploratory vessels launched by Starfleet. A testbed for new warp and space construction technologies, the first NX ships were charged with exploring the frontier while protecting the interests of Earth.

The ship proved to be an effective design, although it was inferior to the warships operated by neighboring races, most notably the Vulcans and Klingons.

Design Notes:

The ship is based off of the signature ship from "Enterprise". Purists will take exception with my interpretation of the ship, but I have tried to make it so that it sucks, but not so much so as to be unreasonably bad.

The Enterprise's 'phase cannons' become longer ranged light particle cannons, the 'spatial torpedoes' become light missiles launched from Class-SO Missile Racks, and four light plasma cannons are added to simulate the pulsed plasma fire that the Enterprise has been known to use on occasion.
