The second base hull of the Cutter series produced by Ix, the Missile Cutter has proved a favorite of the Minor Houses of the Landsraad due to its high survival rate and ability to act as a firepower support ship in fleet engagements. The Missile Cutter also employs a strong Holtzman shield, but is used less agressively due to the greater range of its primary weapon, and therefore has a low casuality rating.

One of several Cutter designs, sister ship to the Shielded Cutter.
House Ordos uses a Ballistic Cutter that trades the Holtzman shield and Type-S Missile rack for a Type-L and a Type-A rack.
The Spacing Guild and Bene Gesserit use Interceptor Cutters to protect their ships, armed with a Rail Interceptor Array. |
