Ya'Kali Troop Transport
Description:

The Ya'Kali Troop Transport is the supreme troop deployment vessel within the K'Thonn navy. The Ya'Kali is built to house a massive number of assault shuttles as well as the ground troops needed to fill them. Ships of this class are immense, nearly twice the size of the Chu'Kahni Dreadnought.

The first Ya'Kali Troop Transports saw use in early uprisings at small mining camps in the K'Thonn System, but few actually were forced into combat. When contact was made with the Bintari and a foothold was gained in the Katoc System, the K'Thonn dispatched several Ya'Kalis to the system to help and build up a military garrison there. As history recounts, several Ya'Kali's fell to Bintari forces during their retaliatory strike on the K'Thonn's original Katoc colony.

Soon thereafter, with the dawning of revolution, the Ya'Kali became an important facet of both the rebel and loyalist navies. One side would dispatch a Ya'Kali and its escorts to take control of an enemy colony, then their opponent would ready a Ya'Kali of their own to retake said colony world. It was through this tug-of-war to control their raw materials and production nodes that most of the Ya'Kalis then in service were destroyed.
